Pokémon - Gloom IR #198 (Obsidian Flames) - BGS 9 Mint

If you’re looking for a special Pokémon Single Card that stands out as a collectible, Gloom IR #198 from Obsidian Flames is an exciting choice. You’re not buying just any pack here, but this exact Illustration Rare in English Language and a BGS 9 Mint Slab. This is especially convenient if you want to build your Collection strategically while holding a card that has already been graded. For buyers who appreciate clear condition details, this is much more reassuring than an ungraded Single Card.

Sometimes, it’s not the loudest card that stays in your mind the longest. The artwork of Gloom from Obsidian Flames has exactly this calmer, atmospheric quality, setting it apart from many standard cards. Collectors of Illustration Rares often look for artwork with character rather than just powerful cards. This Gloom card is a great choice if you’d like to add a cohesive, beautifully presented single card to your Pokémon Collection that won’t get lost in your Binders.

The English Language is the obvious choice for many buyers when collecting Pokémon cards internationally or across sets. This is especially true for Obsidian Flames if you already have English cards in your archive or don’t separate your Collection by German versions. With Gloom IR #198, you get a copy that fits seamlessly into an international Pokémon Collection and gains additional structure through Grading. This makes the card particularly appealing to Collectors who want to remain flexible about language.

A graded copy is especially useful when you want to ensure a reliable Condition when buying. For this Gloom card, the BGS 9 Mint grade shows at a glance that the card isn’t simply being sold without inspection. This is helpful for Collectors, as it makes it easier to decide whether the card is a good fit for an existing high-end collection. If you’re looking to buy individual Pokémon cards and want a clear, verifiable assessment, this is a solid choice.

Many buyers discover a set through Booster packs and later decide to build their collection around it. If you want to build your Obsidian Flames collection the same way, a single Illustration Rare is often a better choice than more random packs. With Gloom IR #198, you buy the card you’re looking for directly, without relying on a lucky pull. This is especially convenient if you want to secure specific artwork from the set and expand your Collection strategically.

This card is aimed at buyers who appreciate modern Pokémon artwork and a clearly graded Condition. The BGS Slab ensures that Gloom is seen not just as a card, but also as an object worthy of display. It’s a great fit for a display case, Binders of graded cards, or a themed Obsidian Flames collection. Collectors who prefer Illustration Rares with a clear grading designation will find just the right balance of artwork and collector status here.

An ungraded card can make sense if you simply like the artwork or want to add a more affordable version to your Deck or your Binders. By contrast, this BGS 9 Mint version is the better choice if presentation and certainty about condition matter to you. The difference is therefore less about gameplay and more about collecting. For buyers who deliberately want to purchase Obsidian Flames in a higher grade, the graded card is usually the more logical choice.

Gloom IR #198 is a card that is ideal for well-organized collections. Its English Language, familiar set, and graded Slab make it easy to add to an existing archive. It also makes a thoughtful, high-quality gift for Pokémon Collectors, requiring no specialized prior knowledge. For anyone who wants to keep modern Illustration Rares organized as well as own them, this card is an excellent choice.
