AoS Skaven: Stromfiend

If you want to add a striking and powerful elite unit to your Skaven army, the Stormfiends are an excellent choice. The kit combines distinctive models with various equipment options, giving you plenty of flexibility when building your army. Stormfiends fit perfectly into the overall look of Skaven armies, which already thrive on chaotic energy and an unusual aesthetic. For Players and Collectors, this unit stands out immediately, both on the tabletop and in the display cabinet.

This box is especially appealing if you’re not just looking for any Skaven expansion, but for a unit with a strong presence. The three models fit easily into existing armies and have enough character to visibly transform an army build. If you’re looking to expand Warhammer Age of Sigmar strategically rather than just collect, you’ll quickly appreciate an elite unit like this. The set is also a great option to add to an already extensive Skaven collection.

Collectors benefit from the Stromfiends' strong Skaven identity and distinctive appearance. Models like these are important in a faction defined by variety and madness, as they add depth to the Collection. Anyone shaping their Warhammer collection with care can make a striking statement with the Stromfiends. The set therefore feels less like an impulse buy and more like a deliberate addition to an army project.

The included options, such as the Warpfire Projector, Ratling Cannon, and Grinderfist, make the kit flexible and appealing for different playstyles. This is useful if you want to customize your Skaven army both visually and in terms of gameplay. Especially in Warhammer Age of Sigmar, it can be helpful when a unit isn’t built too rigidly. That way, you get a model-building project that you can adapt to your vision for your army and how you plan to use it.

Anyone who enjoys building and painting will find the Stromfiends a set with plenty of character. The miniatures have a distinctive look and are just the kind of units that bring a tabletop to life. They’re an exciting prospect for hobbyists, since there’s a lot you can bring out in the models with paint and detail work. If you see Skaven not just as game pieces but as a creative project, this is a very rewarding kit.

Compared to regular Skaven infantry units, the Stormfiends bring much more presence and make a stronger visual statement. This is especially useful when you want your army not just to perform, but to stand out. If you already own lots of basic models, an elite box like this can take things to the next level. It adds a new dimension to your Collection, going beyond sheer numbers.

The clear Skaven designation makes it easy to fit the unit into an existing army. Especially in Age of Sigmar, many buyers want models that not only look powerful but also fit the rest of their project. The Stormfiends do exactly that: they don’t feel out of place, but like a natural extension. Anyone building a Skaven army can make very targeted use of this set.

The Stormfiends are primarily a set to assemble, paint, and field in your army. If you enjoy collecting products in their original packaging, you can of course keep them sealed, especially if you’re planning a themed Warhammer sealed collection. For active Players, however, the real value lies in building the models and using them on the battlefield. If you’re looking for a compact but distinctive Skaven unit, this set is an excellent choice.
