40k T'AU: Combat Patrol

If you want to start playing T'au in Warhammer 40.000 or expand your army in a practical way, the Combat Patrol is a particularly convenient box. It brings together several units into a cohesive force and saves you from searching for individual models that work well together. This is especially helpful for Beginners, as you don't have to assemble every detail separately from the start. Experienced Players also like to pick up boxes like these when they want a solid foundation for a new T'au army.

The box makes the most sense if you’re looking for a complete T'au package rather than buying individual models one by one. It’s often the easier way to start a new army, since you get several key units in one product. If you’re new to Warhammer 40.000, this gives you a solid starting point. And if you already play T'au, you can use the box to expand your army without having to spend a long time looking for the right additions.

Many Collectors like Combat Patrol boxes because they make a faction tangible at a glance. This works particularly well for T'au, as the included units showcase the army's signature technological character. If you'd rather build your Collection with clearly themed boxes instead of individual purchases, this offers a convenient structure. That's helpful if you want to expand your T'au Collection step by step while still maintaining a cohesive overall look.

The box is interesting for Players because it brings together several unit types and covers different roles. You get a foundation that makes it easy to prepare for smaller games or casual sessions. This is especially useful if you want to try Warhammer 40.000 without having to plan everything separately right away. It also helps when building your army later, as you can use it as a base and add further models with a specific purpose.

It includes a Commander in an Enforcer Battlesuit, ten Fire Warriors with a drone, an XV95 Ghostkeel Battlesuit, two Tactical Drones, a Marker Drone, and a DS8 Tactical Support Turret. The corresponding model kits and assembly instructions are also included. The miniatures are supplied unassembled and can be built to suit your preferences. This set offers a varied mix of a leader, infantry, battlesuit, and support units in one box.

If you were planning to pick up several T'au models anyway, the Combat Patrol is often the more convenient option. Instead of comparing individual boxes, you get a curated selection that works well together for building your army. Individual boxes make sense if you're only missing a specific model, but for a solid start or a broad expansion, the Combat Patrol is usually easier to navigate. That's exactly what makes it so appealing to many buyers.

In Warhammer 40.000, the Product type is often more important than you might first think. A Combat Patrol is neither a single miniature nor just a collector’s item, but a box containing several coordinated units. If you want to play or build a T'au army with a specific focus, you’ll benefit from this structure. That’s why it’s worth thinking before you buy about whether you’re looking for a single Battlesuit, a vehicle, or an entire small force.

The Combat Patrol is a great starting point if you're beginning with T'au or want to get back into the hobby after a break. The mix of different models makes it easier to get started, since you have several building blocks for your army right away. The box can also make an interesting gift for Warhammer fans, as its contents are easy to understand and fit right into the hobby. If you want to build a T'au army in a structured way, this is a great choice.
