40k Necrons: Hexmark Destroyer

If you're looking for a model with a clear role for your Necron army, the Hexmark Destroyer is a compelling choice. The set is part of Warhammer 40.000 and includes a distinctive unit that is especially appealing if you want to build your army with more focus, not just make it bigger. It's a great addition for Players interested in ranged combat and Collectors who enjoy unique Necron models.

The Hexmark Destroyer is most worthwhile if you’re not simply looking to buy another model, but want a unit with a clearly defined role. That’s exactly what makes it appealing to many Necron players who want to structure their army deliberately. Even if you’re not building out an entire army at once, but adding to it step by step, this model is useful. It brings a different quality to the Collection than standard troops, making it quickly feel like a purposeful addition rather than a random one.

For Necron collectors, the Hexmark Destroyer is interesting because it adds a particularly striking element to the faction. Anyone who defines their Collection not just through core infantry, but gives individual units character, will enjoy this model. Specialized models like these bring an army on the shelf to life and deliberately break up the uniformity that can quickly emerge from an all-standard build. This set is therefore a great fit for collectors who appreciate standout pieces.

In the game, the Hexmark Destroyer is especially interesting if you want to add a ranged focus to a Necron army. The model brings exactly the kind of specialization that can make a difference in an army list without straying from the faction's visual identity. For Players who think tactically and don't rely on sheer numbers alone, it's a valuable addition. Especially when combined with other Necron units, it creates a more varied overall force.

The Hexmark Destroyer works well if you collect not only complete armies, but also special miniatures within the faction. Many hobbyists like that models like these stand out clearly from standard boxes while still fitting into the same world. This is especially useful when you’re developing your Collection over the long term and want to keep adding units that bring something distinctive both visually and in gameplay.

As with many Warhammer 40,000 kits, this one also includes instructions in English. Most buyers will find them easy to follow in everyday hobby use, as the assembly is clearly explained through images and parts. If you’ve already built Necron models, you’ll quickly get the hang of it. In this case, what matters more than the Language is whether the model fits your army and collecting goals.

If you’re torn between a specialized model and another basic unit, it comes down to your goal. More infantry adds breadth, while the Hexmark Destroyer adds character and a much more specific role. For many Necron armies, that’s exactly the more exciting next step, giving the list a more distinctive feel. If you already have a solid foundation, this model is often a more useful addition than another interchangeable unit.

The set is especially appealing if you actively play Warhammer 40.000 or want to expand your Necron collection. Building and painting it right away is the obvious choice for most buyers, as the model has its full impact in its finished Condition. However, if you want to set aside certain Necron models unopened or keep them as part of a Sealed collection, that is also a viable option. The deciding factor is whether you want to start a project now or deliberately add to your collection.
