40k Astra Militarum: Attilan Rough Riders

If you want to add a fast and striking unit to your Astra Militarum army, the Attilan Rough Riders are an excellent choice. The Warhammer 40.000 kit includes five multipart miniatures that fit neatly into mobile lists as a cavalry unit. Especially if classic infantry feels a little too straightforward, this set adds its own distinctive touch to the battlefield. The models come unpainted and unassembled, so you can build them exactly how you want for your project.

This set is especially useful when you’re not just looking for more standard troops, but want to give your army more mobility and character. For an Astra Militarum project, a unit like the Attilan Rough Riders can make all the difference: it stands out immediately on the tabletop while also fitting well into a playable army. If you’re buying Warhammer 40k models to gradually expand your force, a mobile unit like this is often more exciting than yet another block of infantry.

Many Warhammer Collectors care not only about the rules, but also about an army’s look. The Attilan Rough Riders bring a distinctive character, combining the classic mounted theme with the grim style of Warhammer 40.000. If you collect Astra Militarum miniatures and want to build the faction with visual cohesion as well as functionality, this kit offers a distinctive look. That also makes the set an interesting choice for display cabinet projects.

In Warhammer 40k, it’s often helpful for an army to include more than just units on foot. Rough Riders give you a faster option for closing gaps, applying pressure, or responding flexibly to the flow of battle. If you play Astra Militarum and your army list could use more dynamism, this cavalry unit is a useful addition. It doesn’t replace your core troops, but complements them very well when you need more speed on the table.

Attilan Rough Riders are not just a generic, interchangeable kit, but a unit with strong faction identity. That’s exactly what makes them appealing to Collectors looking to build their Astra Militarum Collection around specific units and roles. If you’re looking for models that not only fit into your army but also have a special place in the range, this kit is a great choice. It adds variety to a Collection that might otherwise quickly feel very infantry-heavy.

Because the Attilan Rough Riders come unpainted and unassembled, you can choose your color scheme and details yourself from the start. This is especially practical if you want to keep your Astra Militarum army consistent or deliberately distinguish the unit from your other troops. If you enjoy building and painting, this Warhammer 40.000 set provides an excellent foundation. Neat painting is especially striking on the tabletop when it comes to cavalry units.

If you're choosing between another infantry unit and the Attilan Rough Riders, it usually helps to consider the feel of your current army. More infantry is often the safe, practical option. The Rough Riders, on the other hand, bring speed, visual variety, and a clear centerpiece. For Players who want to play Astra Militarum in a way that's not just efficient but varied too, this is the more exciting choice. So rather than simply adding bulk, the set gives your existing units more character.

The Attilan Rough Riders are a great choice if you play Astra Militarum, are looking for a strongly themed unit, or simply want to build a characterful model set. The kit is also a great addition to a growing Warhammer 40.000 Collection, as it is immediately recognizable as a cavalry unit and clearly stands apart from other Imperial troops. If you’re looking for more than just standard options, this set combines gameplay, Collection, and hobby work in a meaningful way.
