AoS Slaves to Darkness: Be'Lakor The Dark Master

Be'Lakor The Dark Master is a large character miniature for the Slaves to Darkness in Warhammer Age of Sigmar. It is a multipart plastic kit and makes an impressive centerpiece in a Chaos army. If you want to add a particularly striking figure to your Collection or army list, Be'Lakor is a great choice. The model is an appealing option for Players, Collectors, and painters because it is not just a regular unit, but brings a much stronger presence to the table.

Both, but for different reasons. Players often use Be'Lakor as a centerpiece because he gives the army visual impact and stands out clearly from smaller models. Collectors appreciate the miniature because it is an iconic Chaos model that immediately catches the eye in a Slaves to Darkness Collection. If you want to do more than just play Warhammer Age of Sigmar and also build your collection with a clear focus, this kit is an excellent fit. With character models like this in particular, the line between gaming and display is often blurred.

Yes, many Collectors do that with larger character miniatures. If you don't want to build Be'Lakor right away, you can keep him sealed as part of your Warhammer Collection and decide later whether to use him for a hobby project. This makes particular sense if you specifically collect Chaos models or are working toward a particular army project. The only important thing is to decide before buying whether you're looking for a model to build and paint or one for your Collection.

The kit is made up of multiple parts, making it more of a classic hobby project than a quick push-fit model. That’s precisely what appeals to many buyers, as you can take your time building and customizing the figure. If you enjoy assembling and painting miniatures, Be'Lakor has enough detail and presence to make it worth your time. The model is manageable for Beginners, but is best suited to those who already have some experience with larger Warhammer figures or are up for a more challenging project.

Yes, that’s exactly what he’s designed for. Be’Lakor is a great fit for a Slaves to Darkness army, as he captures the dark Chaos aesthetic and makes a striking centerpiece. If you don’t want to build your list around standard troops alone, a model like this is especially exciting. Many Players specifically look for a miniature that brings the army together visually, and Be’Lakor does that very well. Those who collect Chaos in Age of Sigmar seriously often look at key models like this first.

The biggest difference lies in presence and impact. A regular character miniature usually complements a unit or fills a clear gameplay role, while Be'Lakor is primarily seen as a centerpiece model. That makes him appealing to Players who want to make their Chaos army more visually striking, and to Collectors looking for a special figure. If you only need a functional model, a smaller hero is often enough. But if you're looking for a real highlight for your Collection, Be'Lakor is much more impressive.

Yes, very much so. Thanks to its size, clear silhouette, and many visible details, Be'Lakor is a model that lends itself well to showcasing painting techniques. If you enjoy painting a striking centerpiece model, it offers a great canvas for contrasts, shadows, and highlights. This is especially worthwhile if you’re not just looking to quickly finish a Tabletop model, but are looking for a project that will really stand out in a display case later. For many hobbyists, that’s exactly the main reason for buying figures like this.

That depends entirely on your goal. If you want to deliberately build a Chaos Collection and only use the kit later, you can keep it sealed in its original packaging. But if you’re specifically working on a Slaves to Darkness army or looking for a major painting project, opening it is usually the more sensible choice. Be'Lakor is most appealing when you genuinely want to add him to your army or Collection. For purely Sealed collections, he’s interesting if you want to archive precisely these iconic Warhammer models.
