AoS Maggotkin of Nurgle: Great Unclean One

If you're looking for a model that immediately defines the look of your entire Maggotkin of Nurgle army, the Great Unclean One is an obvious choice. The Warhammer Age of Sigmar miniature is exactly the kind of large model that stands out equally on the tabletop and in your Collection. The multi-part plastic kit offers more than just size; it also gives you plenty of room to customize your build. For Players, Collectors, and hobbyists, this is a model designed to make an impact.

Many buyers choose a model like this when they want more than a standard troop addition. The Great Unclean One is especially suitable if you want to expand your Nurgle army with a centerpiece monster. It makes sense once your core force is established and you’re looking for a figure that marks the next step visually and thematically. Compared with smaller units, this model has a much stronger presence, making it better suited as a highlight for your army and display case.

The set includes various weapon options, including the Balesword, Plague Flail, and Doomsday Bell. You can also build Rotigus Rainfather instead, making the kit even more appealing to many hobbyists. This flexibility is especially helpful if you want not only to finish your army quickly but also to design it thoughtfully. The included Citadel round base also gives you a good foundation for play and display. These kinds of options are exactly what make the kit appealing to more discerning buyers.

The Great Unclean One is one of those models that immediately gives an entire Collection a clear theme. Anyone collecting Maggotkin of Nurgle or Chaos models in general will find a highly characterful large model here that won’t simply fade into the background. Collectors who want to build a visually cohesive army often choose central models like this. Its size, build options, and distinctive Nurgle identity make this model particularly appealing for a Collection.

In the game, the Great Unclean One is especially suited to being a striking centerpiece for your army. If you want to do more than just fill your Maggotkin of Nurgle list with units and also field a powerful model, this figure brings just the right level of presence. The monster is especially effective when you play an army with a clear Nurgle focus and are looking for a model that immediately conveys its theme. For many Players, this is where a large model like this really proves its worth.

If you’re torn between a unit and a monster, consider what your army is missing right now. Standard troops give you playability and structure, while the Great Unclean One provides a visual centerpiece. For building a list, a troop box is often the more practical choice, but for your army’s overall presence, this model is the one to get. Eye-catching models are especially important for Maggotkin of Nurgle, as the faction thrives on its distinctive aesthetic. Here, you get exactly that in an especially large form.

Large Nurgle miniatures are appealing to many painters because they offer plenty of surface area and visible texture. The Great Unclean One is a good example, as it lets you work very deliberately with details, textures, and colors. If you want your next hobby project to be striking and expressive rather than small, this model is a strong choice. It takes some time, but rewards you with a result that really stands out in a display cabinet. For painters, that is often worth more than pure game stats.

The Great Unclean One can of course also remain unopened in a Warhammer Collection if you prefer to collect boxes like these as complete products. In most cases, however, buyers choose this kit because they want to build and paint it and use it in their Nurgle army. For a Sealed Collection, its clear connection to the faction is especially appealing. But if you’re looking for a large model to serve as the centerpiece of your project, opening it is usually the better choice.
