40k Astra Militarum: Bullgryns

If you’re looking for a striking melee unit for your Warhammer 40.000 Astra Militarum army, the Bullgryns are a great choice. The set contains 3 multipart plastic miniatures that stand out immediately with their imposing silhouettes and give your army more physical presence. Especially in Imperial armies, which often rely on infantry and firepower, a unit like this provides a noticeable contrast. With the included round bases and several build options, this kit is appealing both for gaming and for the hobby.

Bullgryns are especially worthwhile if you don’t want to build your Astra Militarum list around ranged play alone. They add a heavy melee element that immediately feels different on the tabletop from classic line infantry. If you want to make your army more flexible or add a tough unit to it, this box is an obvious choice. Players who want to make their force more varied will especially benefit from such a distinctive addition. That’s why this set feels less like Accessories and more like a core building block.

Bullgryns are appealing to Collectors because they look so distinctive and stand out clearly from regular Astra Militarum units. The models have plenty of character and ensure a Collection isn’t made up entirely of classic soldiers. Anyone who collects Imperial armies and prefers units with a striking look will find these a great addition. On display, miniatures like these often make more of an impression than purely functional squad boxes.

The multipart miniatures can be assembled in different ways, leaving plenty of room for your own style. That’s a nice bonus if you like a little more choice than the bare minimum when assembling models. For painters and model builders, Bullgryns are especially appealing because their large surfaces and striking shapes really stand out when painted. This quickly turns the set into a project that’s fun not just on the tabletop, but in the hobby room too.

In the game, the unit applies a different kind of pressure than pure shooting infantry. So if you like building lists with several layers, Bullgryns are a great fit. They add a sturdy melee option to an army that otherwise relies heavily on range and positioning. This can be especially useful if you want to make your Astra Militarum army more versatile and unpredictable. This keeps your build from being one-dimensional.

Compared with ordinary Astra Militarum infantry, Bullgryns are much heavier and more imposing. If you're choosing between another standard box and a unit with more character, the Bullgryns have a lot going for them. They serve a different role and make a stronger impression. That makes them a great choice for buyers who want to do more than just expand their army and make it more interesting in terms of its structure.

Bullgryns are a good choice for Players looking to add a tough elite unit to their Astra Militarum army, and for Collectors who prefer distinctive models. The box is also appealing to hobbyists who enjoy large, characterful miniatures. If you're looking for a set that feels distinctive and delivers a clear result as soon as you assemble it, this unit is a great fit. It’s more of a powerful standalone addition than an inconspicuous sidekick.

For most buyers, opening it is worthwhile because the Bullgryns reveal their true value when building, painting, and playing with them. If you actively play Warhammer 40.000, you can add the unit straight to your Astra Militarum project. Those who collect Imperial-themed boxes can, of course, keep it unopened too. Either way, the set remains easy to identify and strongly themed, which is helpful for well-organized collections.
